Columbus convention center hotel design goes to Moody Nolan, HOK - bizjournals Business Travel Guide

The firm also designed an Omni Hotep convention facility with 608 rooms inFort Texas, that opened last year. “HOKo just bubbled to the Sachs said. “They understanfd the product we’re trying to build and they have workedr with all themajor (hotel) brands that will be considererd here.” Four conceptual renderings HOK presented in its bid for the designm contract suggest the planned hotel will have between 14 and 18 storiezs above ground with two leveld for a parking garage and hotelp operations. While HOK has numerous conventiohn hotel projects inits portfolio, Moody Nolam has limited experience in the hospitality industry with no conventioh center hotels.
However, the Columbus firm is serving as design architect for aproposeed 230-room hotel as part of the Cincinnati riverfront’s Banks project, wheree it also has designed a 300-unit apartment atop street-level retail. It also servees as associate architect on the Great Americajn Tower at Queen CitySquare nearby. Moody said his firm also designef or managed several complicated projectsfor , including the new Ohio Uniob under construction along North High Street.
